Disney Resorts
The Disney Resorts worldwide are some of the most frequently visited tourist attractions worldwide. The parks are beyond amazing with opportunities to pretend you are in the Star Wars universe at Galaxy’s Edge, or that you are Winnie the Pooh being chased by Heffalumps and Woozles at Pooh’s Hunny Hunt in Tokyo Disneyland. Visiting the parks can be difficult for Autistic people and their families.
This section of the site aims to make it easier for families dreaming of visiting the parks by providing resources to help planning and predictability.
For ticketing to any of the parks, Klook is our ‘go to’ because you can buy tickets in Australian dollars with no international credit card exchange fees. Click here for more information.
The Disney DAS Pass
The Disney DAS Pass (Disability Access Service) helps guests with disabilities that prevent them from waiting in conventional queues, like developmental disabilities or autism, by letting them get a return time for attractions instead of waiting in line. Our family has found it a gamechanger in terms of accessibility.
All Disney parks globally have a DAS, however the process for how you obtain and use a DAS varies from park to park quite substantially, and the websites give limited information, so below are guides for each all in the one place.

Cheaper Official Walt Disney World and Disneyland Accommodation
With the Australian dollar to US dollar exchange rate not working in our favour at the moment, it has become more important to find ways of saving money where possible when booking travel. One of the ways our family has done this is by booking our deluxe Disney resorts through DVC rental.
What is DVC?
DVC is a Disney Vacation Club, a points-based timeshare program where members buy into a contract for future Disney vacations, offering flexibility to book villas at various Disney deluxe resorts.
What is DVC Rental?
DVC rental is a way for people to book rooms at Disney Vacation Club (DVC) deluxe resorts at a discount by renting unused points from existing DVC members, acting as a middleman between members with extra points and guests who want to stay at a DVC property without owning. It offers a cheaper way to experience high-end Disney accommodations (like studios, one, or two-bedroom villas) than booking directly through Disney as a regular guest, though with less flexible cancellation policies. This has allowed our family to stay at resorts like the Grand Californian, the Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Boardwalk, for about half the price of rack-rate through Disney.
